Amgen is cutting 12-to-15 percent of its workforce over the next year, and will be closing its facilities in Seattle and Bothell.
Officials said they plan to eliminate between 2,400 and 2,900 jobs. In Washington state, 660 (NOTE: this number has been updated from an earlier version) workers still work for the company. Amgen is also closing its facilities in Colorado, with all changes expected to be complete by the end of 2015.
