Group Health Physicians has named a new president and chief medical executive: Dr. Steve Tarnoff, a physician who has been with the organization for more than 30 years.
Tarnoff replaces Dr. Michael Soman, who retired from leading the multi-group specialty practice at the end of June.
Group Health Physicians conducted a national search before selecting Tarnoff, a practicing family physician.
In his new role, Tarnoff will oversee the care of nearly 400,000 Group Health patients around the state.
