As the Washington state health exchange hurtles toward an Oct. 1 deadline, insurance brokers say they’ll lose money because of a seemingly minor detail in the website’s design.
The problem: They say it’s too hard for people shopping for insurance to find out that brokers are available, and for the brokers to get paid for any advice they provide to the consumer.
