The legislative budget proposals of the last several days haven’t gotten Washington state any closer to answering a critical question for the state’s health benefit exchange: How are we going to pay for it in 2015, when federal funding runs out?
The budget that state lawmakers are working on now would extend into the first six months of 2015. The exchange has projected needing about $52 million that year.
