The new health care deals that Boeing struck with UW Medicine and Providence Health and Services/Swedish won’t be available to the largest unions, officials at Boeing said Friday.
That leaves out the Machinists and the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA).
“(New deals are) strictly for about 27,000 nonunion employees, 3,000 retirees and very small unions that have agreed to nonunion health care plans,” said Joseph Tedino, a spokesman for Boeing corporate communications.
