Seattle Children’s Hospital filed an appeal last year against the Washington state Office of the Insurance Commissioner because hospital officials are upset that the OIC approved several health exchange plans that excluded the hospital.
That appeal is central to an agency conflict that has the OIC’s administrative law judge accusing Commissioner Mike Kreidler’s second-in-command of trying to influence her decision in the case although she is required to remain impartial.
