Gov. Jay Inslee’s office has drafted a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will give different agencies recourse when they don’t like the way the state is implementing the Affordable Care Act.
The effort is in lieu of signing a bill with bipartisan support that some say would have created additional oversight for the Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC). Inslee vetoed the bill Wednesday after it had been approved by both houses of the Legislature.
