After years of persevering despite naysayers, a Seattle Children’s Hospital physician’s effort to solve the mystery of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome is finally paying off with an $85,000 grant from the United Kingdom.
Dr. Daniel Rubens developed a hunch 10 years ago that SIDS could be linked to hearing problems. His theory flew in the face of all other SIDS research to date, which has focused on finding a problem with the brains of SIDS babies.
