Gov. Jay Inslee has appointed former King County Executive Ron Sims to be chair of the Washington state Health Benefit Exchange board.
Sims also served as deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) between 2009-2011. He was executive of King County for 12 years.
In a statement issued Monday, Health Benefit CEO Richard Onizuka of the Health Benefit Exchange said he applauds Inslee’s choice.
