Washington state has exceeded federal projections for how many people would buy private health insurance through the exchange, according to a new analysis by Avalere Health.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projected Washington state would enroll 98,900 people in commercial insurance plans through the Healthplanfinder. That number doesn't include Medicaid enrollees.
The state surpassed that, reaching 163,200 enrollments, or 165 percent of what was expected.
