On a recent sunny afternoon in Seattle, a group of about 75 doctors from around the world gathered at the Swedish Cherry Hill campus to practice advanced spinal surgery on a roomful of cadavers.
The lab hummed with voices and energy as doctors hunched over disembodied torsos at eight different stations, taking turns practicing procedures and asking questions. A new advanced CT scanner was on hand – a loan from industry officials who wanted these doctors to get firsthand experience using the machine.
